Wordpress connection failure

This question has been asked in the past, but I didn’t see any clear resolution and the other threads are closed. Re-opening here. I am following instructions in documentation to connect to Wordpress. Authenticating using my userid with an app password generated for n8n in Wordpress. I have not been able to get this to work yet.

Hi, if you click on the more details besides the unable to connect. What does the error say.

It says invalid URL (ERR_INVALID_URL). I thought it might be that I was using a free account, so I paid. no luck. then I thought maybe I need to use my domain, so I connected to a domain I own…no luck. I have tried with // and trailing / and without. I have tried with https:// and without. I have tried ignore SSL toggled both on and off.

Did you try to connect with another tool and verify this works correctly?
