+1 vote for the official trigger node. But please also make it possible for the trigger to listen to private messages to the bot, not only server/channel related.

Yo, i created a discord bot that auto forwards messages from a discord server that the bot is added on to a n8n webhook. But u gotta deploy this ureself on a platform like railway. costs about $5 per month. Pretty worth it for people who do not like community nodes

It works directly within n8n, no extra needed.
I’m using this and it works like a breeze both for direct messaging and channel messaging. the greater limitations are of what discord bots can actually do, like, i can’t have a discord bot in a group dm and etcetera
+1 An official Discord trigger would be a massive help for my community. Sure there are a few nonofficial projects that already give us this functionality but I have already had to switch twice because of how frequently the maintainers of these projects drop support.
