Licensing question (White Labeling)

Hi everyone!
First of all I would like to express how I was impressed by n8n, it is really fascinating.

I have a question about white labeling and licensing. We would like to build a specialized workflow editor, for which we want to significantly change the n8n frontend (we want to redo the Expression UI, hide 95%+ of integrations, remake the UI of popups, add our own admin panel for managing Workflows, etc.). I would also like to provide the final product to the market under our brand (but this is not necessary, we are fine with supplying it under the n8n brand).

I want to understand whether we can do this or not? Do we need some kind of license for this or we can stay on Sustainable Use License?

We plan to provide this service free of charge to business customers (we will not sell the created editor in any way - neither by subscription nor through hosting or any other ways). The service will be provided to users completely free of charge on their servers.

Looking forward to your comments)

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Maybe it is important to understand the context. Our company provides Software consulting services, and we would like to enable our clients to modify their flows on their own (without involving our developers).

Hi @Alexander_Krikunenko,

Welcome to the community :tada:

Under our license any kind of white labeling or embedding of n8n would require a license. I would recommend getting in touch with our sales team and include as much information as possible and they will be able to advise you.
