I want to be able to temporarily remove the Startup license key we have on our staging server to see if we can make it work with just the community edition. But it appears the only way to do this is to cancel plan which I don’t want to do because I have working workflows I can’t disrupt.
Is there a way to remove a license key and then later reapply it?
You could remove the license key from your n8n database and restore the value later.
Or I could do this manually for you. If you want to send me a private message with your license key and email I can deactivate the key from your instance and you will be able to set it up again when you choose to by following the same steps you took to activate it in the first place.
Although we are currently working on a simpler option to remove the license key without needing to gracefully shut down the instance, this is still in the works and your feedback helps us see that we’ll also need to document it better
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to remove the ‘license.cert’ from the db but that did not seem to work. How would I remove the license from the db?
