Is there a good reason why n8n doesn’t autosave?

I just lost 2 hours of work

Asking users to remember to save manually these days is like asking users to remember how they used to use Microsoft Word on Windows 95

Autosave for workflows

More often than once I have been forgetting to save the state of the project and then my nice process or the logic I entered was partially or fully lost. I was wondering whether an autosave (be it temporary or similar) would make sense to prevent that. Possible implementation scenario: On new Workflow creation directly ask the user for name (and store it with the id) Register a onNodeAttributeChange and fire an event Listen to that event and automatically save the workflow

While there are a lot of people asking for auto save on here, there are also some explaining why it’s more difficult than it seems. Check out my comment on the thread.

But it is going to come eventually, but there are some significant core changes and supporting features that need to be added first
