Feature Request: Pre-configured Node Templates

I’d like to request the ability to create custom node templates with pre-selected configurations. When adding new nodes to a workflow, these templates would come with predefined settings already applied.

Current problem: When building similar workflows, I repeatedly configure the same settings for nodes (like disabling n8n’s attribution in Gmail nodes), or selecting “Retry onf Fail” with the Sheets Nodes, which is time-consuming and prone to forgetting steps.

Request: Allow users to save node configurations as templates that can be instantly applied when adding new nodes - similar to Google Sheets’ note templates.

Benefit: Streamlines workflow creation and ensures consistency across configurations.

I copy-paste exiting nodes for this purpose. It works even between different workflows. I’m quite satisfied with this approach.

@imajus that one works yes but I have so many workflows that I often forget where I used which nodes. So for example the http node… would be great to store an entire node instead of just credentials…
