the issue i am seeing is this

Delete the agent node and add a new one from the nodes panel. Sometimes old nodes can cause UI bugs in newer n8n versions.

might be worth trying this – don’t execute the agent node manually. instead, click the main “execute workflow” button at the bottom of the canvas first so it actively starts listening, and then type “hi” in the chat panel.
