Hello I tried checking other topics around this, and tried the tips there where stated. I am using the Application Password, tried for a few times also the normal password, php is up to date, I tried different accounts, all administrator.
But I am still getting
Couldn’t connect with these settings

I have red someone stating that you cant use a free version of WordPress? But I have Wordpress on a payed webhost, but would I maybe still need a subscription to Wordpress.org? Any tips would be great
About the paid version vs free i am not sure. But it could well be that the version your are paying for as a hosted solution is based on a free version.
This is why the first step would be to try to connect to it with an external tool and try to do the operation manual.
I tried now with a different WordPress website of mine on a different host I still had. There it works, initiated a Domain and Webhost transfer to the same provider, and if that doesn’t work I will contact the webhosting service, as its then on the side of the webhost something that has to be setted up maybe.
Will post the solution if I found it, now waiting on Domain and Webhost transfer, at least I can continue on the other side to automize
Have you found the solution yet? And if possible, which host are you using when it works? Because I’m on Ionos and I have the same error as you mentioned. Thanks a lot!
